PARAGUAY: Worries about the central bank

Financial commentators are worried about how the gearing up of the electoral campaigns this year will affect the Banco Central de Paraguay, which has been riven by rivalries and feuds since March 2006. The central bank does not have a full complement of directors and thus has diminished influence on economic debates.
